Interesting Phenomena

On the day I posted Guys ... and Sexual Temptation/Sin (see below), the number of hits to this blog went up dramatically. I don't exactly know how you all found it, but found it, you did. Of course, I'm left wondering what that might mean. Was it curiousity? An ability to relate? A desire for personal encouragement and help? I don't know. I at least hope it resulted in the recognition that this is one area of temptation where, by the grace of God, we need to acknowledge God, honor God, and obey God, the three things the Gentiles did not do in Romans 1. And as the body of Christ, we need to uphold one another, pray for one another, confess our sin to one another and spur one another on to those good deeds for which we have been created. God bless you today, my brother. Let me know if I can be of any help. Grace & peace, Steve

I'm glad you found my blog (however that happened!). Yes, I've liked Banner books for a long time. I attended all 8 West Coast
Banner conferences (1996-2003). Then they just suddenly stopped, with no explanation.

I'm sure I'll be posting comments about the Banner books, in due time.

"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." -1 Cor. 10:13

Steve, this is a great reminder that no one struggles alone or with sins that others have not faced. And the great hope is that God has a way of escape in the endurance of all temptations. Bless you, brother for ministering to us here!

Richard - Good to hear from you. I am aware that west coast conferences once existed (before my time with The Banner); I'm not sure why they were discontinued. Do you think there would be interet enough to bring them back?

Thanks, Tony. We're going to "talk" this week, right, regarding some upcoming special Banner promotions on the Shepherd's Scrapbook blog?

Richard,
There used to be West Coast BoT conferences? Wow! Which state where they held in?

Steve,
Yes, there is interest in reviving the Banner conferences on the West Coast. (Vancouver sounds like a great site.)
