While I don't relish time away from home and family, I do enjoy getting out of the office and meeting many of the people who receive, read and teach from Banner of Truth books. Two such opportunities are rapidly approaching, the last two of this year. Next week, I am at the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF) conference at the Convention Center in Valley Forge, PA (northwest of Philadelphia), November 9-11. The following week, Rob from our staff will be at the Evangelical Theological Society's (ETS) conference in Washington, DC, November 15-17, and I will probably be there for one of those days. We'll soon be building the 2007 "on the road" schedule; all suggestions welcomed.
Grace & peace,
Steve
ADDENDUM: I'm planning a northwest trip (Portland & Seattle areas) in mid-January. If any of you are in that area and want to get together, let me know. A southeast trip will probably be closer to the spring.

BIRMINGHAM, BIRMINGHAM, BIRMINGHAM!!!!!
The BookStore at Hunter Street will roll out the red carpet for your arrival! Well, actually we have tile floor, but you will stil be welcomed nonetheless!
I'll second KC. Come on down to BHAM!
See if you can't go down the road to Briarwood as well!
Wow! Is Alabama calling me or what?!?! Birmingham and Briarwood, huh? Well, I'd love to come visit and will have to keep these two places in mind, to be sure. I know how to reach KC; how can I connect with you, James?
Steve...thanks for checking out my blog:o)
Of course I'm a Banner supporter. They publish the best books out there!
I'm not sure what you could help with, but for starters it'd be nice if our local bookstores actually carried some of your books! I know that's not your fault b/c they want what's "new", but it's a bummer. I'm tired of going to the local Christian bookstores and they don't even know who John Owen is. Anyhow...I appreciate all that you do!
Is there a catalogue for Banner books?
In Christ
Noah
Thanks, Noah. Good to hear from you. I understand your comment regarding some local bookstores. Believe it or not, there still are some great bookstores out there in certain parts of the country (see the comment above from KC in Birmingham, for example), but there unfortunately may not be one near you. As for a catalog ... I do have a list of all of our titles, with prices, that I could send you. Our Christmas mailer is just going out now also; I could send that, too. I hope to have a full PDF catalog, with pretty pictures and everything like that, available again soon. If interested in the other stuff, how about you email me your address (instead of posting it here). Send it to: steve@banneroftruth.org. Thanks, Noah. I hope to hear from you again.
Grace & peace,
Steve
Steve,
Is there a way to make a list of all the churches/bookstores that actively sell Banner books in America and classify them by state? This may be very helpful for local shoppers (and a little motivator for the shops that don't). You could announce updates from the blog ...
Blessings,
Tony
The Shepherd's Scrapbook
Excellent idea, Tony. Hmmmm, we certainly have a list of all bookstores that have accounts with Banner. Let's see what we can do.
I'll help you out, Steve:
For those in Birmingham...
The BookStore at Hunter Street
2600 John Hawkins Parkway
Birmingham, AL 35244
205-739-5376
of course you should come to charlotte!
Steve,
And it would be very interesting to see which churches in a given region sell Banner books, too. It's like a litmus test ... if you don't sell Banner books that means you either don't have a bookstore (strike one) or that you prohibit your buyers from buying Banner books (strike 2 and 3)... But I think it would have to be a list of churches and bookstores that are actively selling Banner books. I would be very interested in that list ...
Tony
